Weaving, spinning demos

THE DALLES — Most Saturdays, traditional weaving and spinning demonstrations are ongoing at Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, 10 a.m. to noon.

Join Northwest Weavers Guild and Northwest Regional Spinners Association members to try their techniques and discuss past and current roles of local sheep ranching, wool production and fiber arts, in the Hood River Gallery.

Bingo for Fire Department

DALLESPORT — Monthly family bingo nights benefit Dallesport’s local fire department. The evening includes dinner at the High Prairie Community Center, Struck Road, second Thursday every month, at 6 p.m. Meals and cards for purchase, discounted meal for kids. Join Dallesport book club

DALLESPORT — Regina Carrico and Liz Clark want to start a book club. “We love to read and think a book club would be a fun way to bring people together,” they write. “Of course, there might be a little bit of wine and food involved, or iced tea if you prefer!”
