July is "All About The Cherry" in The Dalles, where The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce is focusing on cherries throughout the month of July.
The Great Cherry Hunt
“Sasquatch,” accompanied by members of The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce, roams through downtown The Dalles following the “Cherry Trail” as they distribute wooden cherries to local businesses, part of “All about the cherry” events in the month of July. The wooden cherries are for the “Great Cherry Hunt” — The community is invited to find the “cherry” in each location, shop, and enter to win a basket of prices purchased from local merchants valued at $300.
A series of painted windows at The Dalles Chamber of Commerce in The Dalles celebrates the Chamber's "All About The Cherry Campaign," going on through the month of July. The city's Cherry Festival, traditionally held in March, was canceled this year do to the coronavirus pandemic.
