Rhyne Simon & Brandon Perkins married at Skamania Lodge October 9, 2016.
Rhyne’s parents had discovered Skamania Lodge while on an anniversary trip to Washington and Oregon. The couple knew they wanted a unique destination wedding, and after exploring several options, they decided the Gorge was the best place for their rustic, outdoor tastes. “We love the Pacific Northwest, and knew the lodge was a perfect spot for a destination wedding,” Rhyne said.

Occupations: Rhyne and Brandon are both project managers in their respective industries, healthcare and construction.
How they met: On a blind date set up by mutual friends at Halloween. After dinner, they went to a haunted house where Rhyne made Brandon hold her hand when she got scared. “The rest is history!” Rhyne said.
How they got engaged: Brandon proposed to Rhyne in the Texas hill country, surrounded by family and cute farm animals.

Favorite detail: The flower wreath Rhyne’s mother made for her on the day of the wedding.
Unexpected moment: “It poured rain the day of the wedding,” Rhyne said, “so we took it as good luck.”
Advice for other couples: Just go with the flow and everything will fall into place.
