‘Violent’ CL crash sends three to hospital

THURSDAY CRASH on Interstate 84 left three people with injuries. The vehicle caught fire after it rolled into a wooded ravine, but a neighbor put out the blaze and helped remove the occupants from the wreckage. One person was seriously hurt in the crash impact, while two others suffered minor injuries.

Three people were sent to a hospital Thursday in what Oregon State Police termed a “violent” highway crash near Cascade Locks.

An SUV toppled over a wooded embankment near I-84 milepost 44 and caught fire, but a nearby resident extinguished the blaze and helped rescue the vehicle’s occupants.
