The Mt. Adams Ranger District is hosting its 15th annual Fish Education Day on June 10 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Trout Lake-Guler County Park.
This free fishing day is for children 12 years and under. Tackle and bait will be provided. All kids must be accompanied by an adult.
Visits by Smokey Bear and Frank the Fish are anticipated.
A casting contest, fly tying, face painting, T-shirt painting, button making, and environmental education are just a few of the activities that will be offered.
Door prizes, free hot dogs and refreshments will add to the family fun.
The event is being hosted in cooperation with the White Salmon River Steelheaders, the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, and many local sponsors.
