Ever been to Scotland? Would you like to go?
The White Salmon Travel Club will hold an informational meeting next Wednesday, Sept. 20, for anyone interested in finding out more about the trip it is planning to Scotland in June 2007. The meeting will be held at the Early Childhood Center, across from Henkle Middle School, starting at 7 p.m.
According to a Travel Club spokesman, the trip is scheduled to last nine days with an itinerary that has the tour group visiting five major cities (Glasgow, Loch Ness, Aberdeen, St. Andrews and Edingburgh) and several sights (Stirling Castle, Inverness, the Loch Ness visitor center).
The price of the trip includes roundtrip airfare from and to Portland International Airport, airport transfers, hotel accommodations, professionally guided tours, daily meals, luxury bus transportation between cities and the services of a full-time bilingual tour director.
"We are set to depart from Portland on June 21, 2007 and set to return on June 30," the spokesman said, adding, "The trip is not limited to White Salmon residents; anyone is welcome to join us."
