Suzette Gehring and Alfie
Suzette Gehring joined the Hood River News advertising department this month as a new outside sales representative.
“We are happy to have Suzette on board our sales team. Her diverse sales background including real estate will bring new opportunities to our clients,” News Publisher Chelsea Marr said.
Gehring, who also works as a real estate broker for Windermere Real Estate, brings a diverse breadth of experience to the job, with past work in advertising, marketing, management and more.
Originally from Saratoga Springs in upstate New York, Gehring spent time working in Las Vegas and Mexico before she came to Hood River roughly four years ago. She’s worn many hats since arrival, from marketing director at Cascade Pet Camp to art gallery manager for Mystic Mud in downtown Hood River.
“Suzette is a wonderful addition to our sales team offering experience and positive energy,” News Advertising Director Jody Thompson said.
Gehring said she enjoys the daily challenge of the sales team.
“Everybody’s been really great,” Gehring said. “It’s busy (and) it’s fast paced, which I like.”
