Soroptimist International of Mt. Adams is currently accepting applications for its Women's Opportunity Award -- a $500 cash grant for a woman seeking to improve her employment status by gaining additional education and skills.

The award can be used to offset any costs associated with an applicant's efforts to attain higher education, including expenses for books, child care and transportation.
