Longtime White Salmon resident Marcia Holliston will begin the Saturday Specials at Collage of the Gorge on Sept. 21.
Each weekend the store will feature one or more artists of hangable, wearable and edible art, as well as music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Holliston works with collage art -- assemblage -- using many different kinds of fabric, paper, beads, stones and flora. In addition, she will have her popular weed angels and pocket angels available.
Other artists who will be showcased on Saturdays will be Ernest Waters with white on black drawings, Angela Lynn with sketched and water colored portraits, John Schultz with rustic furniture and Tara Peyralans' photography. John Bellacera will show his new line of glass stars.
It's an opportunity to see the innovative work being done by artists in our area, to visit with them and in some cases watch as they work.
