The following defendants appeared in the Klickitat County Superior Court:
On Nov. 17, Angela Dawn Sproat, 29, Vancouver, pled guilty to escape from community custody and was sentenced to 30 days confinement and ordered to pay $810 in fines and costs.
On Dec. 1, Kent Richardson, 23, White Salmon, pled guilty to assault in the second degree and was sentenced to six months incarceration and 12 months community custody. Richardson is to have no contact with the victims, and is to pay $890 in fines and costs as well as victim restitution in an amount to be determined at a later time.
On Dec. 1, Shawn William Lundquist, 42, Portland, Ore., pled guilty to attempting to elude pursuing police vehicle and was sentenced to six months incarceration and 12 months community custody. Lundquist is to pay $1,210 in fines and costs.
On Dec. 3, Charles Allen Browning, 20, Goldendale, pled guilty to attempted theft in second degree and was sentenced to 365 days with 355 days suspended and credit for time served, as well as 12 months active misdemeanor probation. Browning is to have no contact with the victim and is to pay $1,134 in fines and costs as well as victim restitution in an amount to be determined later.
The following defendants appeared in the Klickitat County Superior Court on Dec. 15, 2003:
Steven Lester Holzboog, 33, Maryhill, was found guilty after a bench trial of manufacture of a controlled substance (marijuana) and was sentenced to 45 days incarceration which may be served under work release. Holzboog will then be under 12 months of community custody. Holzboog was ordered to pay $1,345 in fines and costs.
David Arlington Matteson, 29, Roosevelt, pled guilty to three counts of assault of a child in the third degree and was sentenced to 12 months incarceration and one day for each count to be served concurrently as well as nine to 18 months of community service for each count. Matteson is to have no contact with the victims, obtain a domestic violence perpetrator's evaluation and pay $1,460 in fees and costs as well as victim restitution.
Marcos Eason Lamas, 20, Klickitat, pled guilty to possession of stolen property in the second degree and was sentenced to 30 days incarceration, and ordered to pay $1,185 in fines and costs as well as victim compensation.
Charles Eugene Stalcup, 32, Centerville, pled guilty to possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), and was sentenced to 30 days incarceration and 12 months community custody. Stalcup was ordered to pay $2,713 in fines and costs.
Samantha Jane Foyen, 32, Trout Lake, pled guilty to theft in the first degree welfare fraud and was sentenced to two months incarceration, thirty days of which would be converted to 240 hours of community service. Foyen was also ordered to pay $5,581.80 in fines, costs and restitution.
Paula Gay Palmer, 39, Goldendale, pled guilty to theft in the second degree and was sentenced to 30 days incarceration of which 15 days may be converted to work crew, as well as 12 months community custody. Palmer was also ordered to pay $1,084 in fines and costs as well as victim restitution.
Daniel Lawrence Durant, 29, Goldendale, pled guilty to theft in the second degree, and was sentenced to 14 days incarceration which may be converted to work crew. Durant was also ordered to pay $1,210 in fines and costs.
Jerry Dysart Misner, 40, Goldendale, pled guilty to possession of stolen property in the second degree, and was sentenced to 12 months incarceration and ordered to pay $1,205 in fines and costs as well as victim restitution.
Porfiro Michel Barajas, 38, White Salmon, pled guilty to attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle and attempted assault in the fourth degree -- domestic violence and was sentenced to 30 days confinement on the first count. For the second count, Barajas was sentenced to 365 days incarceration with 335 days suspended. Barajas is to undergo an evaluation for domestic violence and alcohol abuse. Barajas was ordered to pay $960 in fines and costs.
Beverly Jean Nickerson, 33, Goldendale, pled guilty to harassment and was sentenced to 365 days incarceration with 335 days suspended and the remaining 30 days may be converted to work crew. Nickerson is then to be on 24 months of probation of which 12 months is to be on active misdemeanor probation. Nickerson is to have no contact with the victim and is to pay $860 in fines and costs.
