The following defendants appeared in the Superior Court of Klickitat County Sept. 7, 2010:
Jonathan Michael Martinez, 31, of Kalispell, Mont., pleaded guilty to taking motor vehicle without the owner's permission in the second degree and was sentenced to 23 months in state prison. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $1,750 including $250 to the Bingen-White Salmon Police Department Investigation Fund and $500 in jail costs. The defendant must also pay restitution to the victim in an amount to be determined at a later hearing and may not have contact with the victim for five years.
Easton Charles Yallup, 33, of Goldendale pleaded guilty to felony violation of a domestic violence no contact order and was sentenced to 12 months and one day in state prison. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $1,800 including $250 to the Goldendale Police Department Investigation Fund and $500 in jail costs. The defendant must also pay restitution to the victim in this matter as well as the victim in an unrelated matter in amounts to be determined at a later hearing.
Jesse Calvin Woodruff, 48, of Wahkiacus, pleaded guilty to incest in the second degree and was granted a special sex offender sentencing alternative (SSOSA) sentence. The defendant will serve six months in the county jail and will be under the supervision of the Department of Corrections for 36 months upon his release. During that time the defendant must participate in and complete sex offender treatment. If the defendant does not successfully complete the SSOSA provisions he will be required to serve an additional six months in jail. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $2,050 including $250 to the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office Investigation Fund and $500 in jail costs. The defendant must also pay restitution to the victim in an amount to be determined at a later hearing.
Leesa Ann Combs, 30, of Underwood, pleaded guilty to forgery and financial fraud and was sentenced to two months in the county jail. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $1,850 including $250 to the Bingen-White Salmon Police Department Investigation Fund and $500 in jail costs. The defendant must also pay restitution to three separate victims in amounts to be determined at a later hearing. The defendant may not have contact with any of the victims for five years.
Edgar Fernando Sanchez, 21, transient, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana in an amount less than 40 grams and was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $4,190 including $2,250 in mandatory fines, $250 to the Bingen-White Salmon Police Department Drug Fund, and $500 in jail costs. The defendant will be under the supervision of the Department of Corrections for 12 months after his release from custody. During that time the defendant must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and successfully complete any recommended treatment.
Allen Suisy Matai, 18, of Wishram, pleaded guilty to assault in the fourth degree -- domestic violence and was sentenced to 30 days in jail. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $2,293 including $250 to the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office Investigation Fund, $500 in jail costs, and a $100 Domestic Violence Assessment. The defendant will be on 24 months of probation. During that time the defendant must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and successfully complete any recommended treatment.
