One person was killed and four others injured in a one-vehicle accident on Nov. 26, 2005.
The accident occurred 9.4 miles east of Stevenson on State Route 14 at approximately 6 a.m.
According to the report, a 1996 Ford Contour, driven by Dustin R. Snodgrass, 25, Shelton, was westbound on SR 14. The vehicle crossed the westbound shoulder and sideswiped a rock retaining wall. The vehicle continued west, striking a rock embankment. The vehicle came to rest totally blocking the westbound lane.
Dustin Snodgrass (cut on head and back pain), and passengers Fred G. Roehnick, 26, Olympia (bruises and facial cuts), Kevin Snodgrass, 2, Shelton (cuts and bruises), and April Snodgrass, 1, Shelton (cuts and bruises) were all transported by ambulance to Skyline Hospital in White Salmon and Hood River Medical Center.
Crystal R. Snodgrass, 29, Dallesport, was also transported by ambulance and then taken to Emanuel Hospital in Portland where she died.
The accident is still under investigation.
Jeffrey Harden, 61, Lake Oswego, Ore., was transported to Klickitat Valley Hospital in Goldendale for possible rib fractures following an accident he was involved in on Nov. 25, 2005.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:17 a.m. on SR 97 near milepost 30.5.
According to the report, Harden was traveling northbound on SR 97 when he lost control of his 1999 Cadillac on ice. The vehicle made a 180 degree turn, driving off the northbound shoulder into a rock wall.
