MARGARET BALDWIN
Margaret Ruth Baldwin, a resident of White Salmon from 1977 to 1993, died at home in Tenino on March 2, 2004.
She was born June 25, 1913, to Edward and Elizabeth Utter in Spokane. She was adopted by Stokely and Julia Roberts of Pullman in 1914, where she remained through college graduation. She earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from Washington State College in 1935.
On June 8, 1938, she married Donald Baldwin. They remained together for 61 years until his death.
She supported her husband in his ministry to several United Methodist Churches in the Pacific Northwest. She was active in teaching Sunday School, training Sunday School teachers, and providing leadership at numerous church camps. She loved nature and was a marvelous story teller.
She was active in United Methodist Women, P.E.O., and Lions and was a longtime member of the Fellowship of Reconciliation. She blessed the lives of numerous people with her radiant love and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy Moore, Little Rock, Ark., sons Doug Baldwin, Vancouver, and Bruce Baldwin, Tenino; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, daughter Blythe Smith, and brothers Delbert Utter and Harold Lange.
A memorial celebration of Mrs. Baldwin's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, at Rochester United Methodist Church.

REX COOKE
Rex E. Cooke, 89, Vancouver, died on Monday, March 1, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Cooke was born into a Kittitas Valley pioneer family on Sept. 14, 1914, at Ellensburg. He attended schools at Yakima and Ellensburg. He moved to Klickitat and was married to Georgia Southmayd in 1936. He worked at J. Neils lumber mill later returning to the Kittitas Valley where he was employed as manager of the Safeway store in Cle Elum.
The family returned to Klickitat in 1950 and Rex worked in the lumber company's Red and White Store as a clerk. Later he was the manager of J. Neils Company store and was purchasing agent for St. Regis lumber when he retired.
Mr. and Mrs. Cooke moved to Vancouver three years ago to be near their daughter.
He was a member and elder of Grace Lutheran Church in Klickitat. He served on the Klickitat Fire Dept and enjoyed golf, oil painting and gardening. His greatest joy was his family.
Survivors include wife Georgia, Vancouver; daughters Janet Clarence, Vancouver, and Kathleen Stavney, Port Hadlock; son, Gary E. Cooke, Sylvania, Ohio; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Nina Bauer, Spokane.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 6, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Mt. View Cemetery in Goldendale with memorial services at 1 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Klickitat. Pastor Paul Bundschuh will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Southwest Hospice in Vancouver.

LEROY DUNN
LeRoy Dunn died in Hood River, Ore., on March 1, 2004.
He was born to Temple Ernie Dunn and Zona Lee Dunn (Minyard) on March 24, 1923, in Alex, Okla.
Mr. Dunn loved to watch football and baseball on television. His favorite hobbies were fishing, camping, fruit picking and traveling.
Mr. Dunn is survived by his sisters Della Wenner, Bingen, and Shirley Wagman, Emmett, Idaho; and niece Kimberly Jo Sullivan, Hood River, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters Dovie Rhodes, Verdia Bell Glover, Betty Harrington, and Wanda Joy; and two brothers T.J. Dunn and James Dunn.
LOUISE PAGE
Louise Rebecca Page, 85, a resident of the Hood River Care Center for the last two years, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at her home.
She was born July 1, 1918, in Ellensburg, to Edward B. and Grace (Bradley) DeWees. She grew up in Ellensburg, Seattle, and Tacoma. In 1948 she moved to the White Salmon area, to Puyallup in 1969, and to Trout Lake in 1981.
She was an avid gardner and enjoyed bird watching. She was past Matron of Vida Chapter #35, Order of the Eastern Star in Tacoma.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Cordes, Puyallup; brother Bud Zimple, Seattle; her children Myra Birkett, Hood River, Robert Page, Vancouver, and Cora Lee Warner, Trout Lake; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Her family will observe private ceremonies of remembrance.
