Lyle seniors Tyler Austin and Matthew Palmer shot a 75 to place third last Thursday in the Warden Two-Man Best Ball Tournament at the Sage Hills Country Club.
The Austin-Palmer combo finished four strokes back of the co-winners from Royal City and Warden.
Austin had the top individual score of the afternoon, carding a 75 over 18 holes. For Royal City, Bryce Dorsing fired a 77 and Elijah Perkins, second in last year's state 1A tourney, scored a 78.
Lyle's No. 2 team of Jesse Spalding and Sean Stanovich completed their round with an 87. The No. 3 pair of Kalvin Kernan and Mark Rodriguez finished back in the field at 110.
