Featuring nearly 200 historic photographs from a diversity of sources, D. C. Jesse Burkhardt's new book, Railroads of the Columbia River Gorge, is a rich and visual celebration of the region's transportation heritage.

The book covers railroads on both sides of the Columbia River, including the Spokane Portland & Seattle Railway, the Mount Hood Railroad, the Klickitat Log & Lumber and Broughton Lumber Co. logging trains, and others. It describes the history of railroads from the 1880s through to the modern era, and offers many photographs from the Bingen-White Salmon area.
