The Snowden Community Council will host a discussion of crime in the Snowden area at the group's annual general meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 4. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Cherry Lane fire station.

Several homes in the Snowden area were burglarized this summer, and there have also been problems with mail theft and mailbox vandalism. At the council meeting, residents will learn more about the recent problem and receive crime prevention tips. There will also be discussion of whether to form a "Neighborhood Crime Watch" network.
