"The girls played pretty solid against TLG," said Vandals Coach Jaecee Hoctor. "They didn't put up much of a fight."

Kali Fargher and Ashley Meeks directed Klickitat's offensive attack, doling out a combined 21 assists.

The primary beneficiaries of those sets were Samantha Brewer, who knocked down 10 kills; Zoe Lindner, who recorded six kills and Martisha Woodall, who tallied five. Brewer also had three blocks.

From the service line, Meeks delivered three aces and Lindner registered two.

White Swan 3, at Lyle/Wishram 0:

The Cougars fell to 0-4 in Mid-Valley 2B League play with last Thursday's shutout loss to the Cougars of White Swan.

White Swan prevailed in three competitive sets, by scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-18.

Brittany Price played a strong two-way game for Lyle/Wishram, finishing with eight blocks and a 9-for-9 effort from the service line.

Lexi Becker contributed with a team-high three kills, a block and four aces while putting 13-of-15 serves in play. Cassie Bliss chipped in with two kills and two aces.

At Riverside Christian 3, Lyle/Wishram 0:

The Crusaders overwhelmed the Cougars in straight sets Oct. 21, winning the Mid-Valley League match, 25-6, 25-3, 25-8, in Yakima.

Highlights for the Cougars included Lexi Becker's 4-for-4 performance at the service line.

Klickitat closes out its GCB schedule with matches tonight at Sunnyside Christian and next Wednesday at home against Trout Lake/Glenwood.

Lyle/Wishram completes its 2008 season tonight with a home match against Riverside Christian.

TLG visits Bickleton tomorrow night for a GCB match that could have a bearing on seeding for the Nov. 8 Yakima Valley District Class 1B Tournament.
