Columbia High 1, at Hockinson 0 - CHS freshman Chani Weiler scored in the 29th minute Oct. 2 to account for all the scoring in a match between the Trico Division's two youngest teams.

Overall, the Bruins launched eight shots on goal - including a close opportunity by Veronica Gonzalez that missed going in by inches - en route to their program's first victory.

Hockinson, a first-year high school in the Vancouver metro area, took nine shots on goal.

CHS goalkeeper Kelsey Kidd saved four shots while five others went wide.

Castle Rock 4, at Columbia High 1 - Bruins goalkeeper Kelsey Kidd recorded a season-high 24 saves during a Sept. 30 Trico match against the Rockets.

Castle Rock, second in Trico standings behind Ridgefield, fired 33 shots on goal, all told.

Three of those found the back of the net early in the first half.

Columbia took eight shots during the match, and put seven on target, but all were saved by C-Rock's goalie.

The one that she didn't stop came part way through the second half.

After several close attacking attempts, Chani Weiler scored the Bruins' goal on penalty kick.

Woodland 4, at Columbia High 0 - After surrendering four goals and making four saves in the first half of the Sept. 25 Trico match, CHS keeper Avary Trosper was injured in a collision with a Woodland player in the 30th minute.

Trosper left with a head injury and Kelsey Kidd came on in relief to register 10 saves. Moreover, the Bruins defense stiffened front to back to shut out the Beavers for the remainder of the 80-minute match.

Kelley McNallan and Chani Weiler spearheaded several Columbia attacks times but couldn't finish.
