A great big thank you to everyone who gave food and money for the holiday food baskets. Ten individual family units and singles were given a better holiday. Sharing is what the Christmas spirit is all about.
Two of our news writers will be out of the state for a few months. This is a good opportunity for a student writer, or a new writer to get involved. Interested Trout Lake writers could contribute single articles or make longer term commitments. If interested, call Sandi Thygesen at 395-2318 and we can get started. If you have news you can also call or e-mail it to sandiray@gorge.net.
In the meantime, a hardy thanks to Shirley Keran and Pat Arnold who have contributed so many years of writing Trout Lake news.
The Trout Lake Inn is going to have a Christian Coffee House on Saturday, Jan 19, at 6:30. Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments; there will be an open mike. This time it is a bit different, with a dessert potluck. All of you great cooks, please bring a plate of cookies or one of your favorite desserts to share. Donations will be accepted at the door, to offset operating costs. All those who attended the first Coffee House at the Trout Lake Inn had a great time listening to the variety of music by local musicians.
The Sunday, Jan 6, Jonah Pinochle Night was such fun. It will be offered again at Jonah Ministries on Sunday Jan 20, 7 to 9 p.m. If you would like to learn this card game, lessons will be offered. Babysitting is not available. Please bring your own deck of cards and your favorite non-alcoholic beverage. If you have any questions call Glenn or Nancy Lucas at 395-2958. Thumb your nose at the rain and come out and have some fun!
