Jaime Silva and William Murray, both of Hood River, have announced their engagement. They will be married Sept. 6, 2014.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kevin and Shari Silva, of Hood River. She was homeschooled, graduating in 2008. She graduated from Portland Community College in 2014 and is currently employed as an assistant dispatcher with Columbia Area Transit.
The future groom is the son of Geri Murray-Hightower and Frank Hightower, of Hood River, and Kenneth Murray, deceased. He is a 2001 Hood River Valley High School graduate and is employed by the Hood River county School District as a custodian with Hood River Middle School.
