The Dalles Riverhawks cruised to their third consecutive victory, a 49-31 final versus Parkrose, in girls basketball action Friday at Kurtz Gym.
Kilee Hoylman paced the Riverhawks with 21 points; Ellie Codding added eight; Rainie Codding scored five and the duo of Molly Taylor and Lauryn Belanger chipped in four points each.
“It is nice to get this winning streak, because we have worked hard to have success this year,” Hoylman said. “We have a lot of people helping out the team by playing defense and scoring, so it is good to have a lot of things going well for us. We just have to keep playing hard and work together as a team to get better and better.”
In all, TD sank 17 field goals, one 3-pointer, and converted 12 of 24 free throws. In their four wins, the Hawk defense allows an average of 27 points, while the offense pours in 50.7, compared to the 51.2 defensively and 43.2 offensively in four losses.
Earlier in the week, Hoylman dropped 16 points, Ella Salvatori had 11, Ellie Codding ended up with 10, and Rainie Codding tallied eight in a 76-31 win against Trout Lake, Wash.
On Wednesday at Reynolds, Belanger racked up a career-high 21 points; Hoylman notched seven; Jenna Miller hit for five and Salvatori added four points to lead the Riverhawks to a 42-26 triumph over Reynolds.
Up next, TD (4-4 overall) hosts Barlow at 6:30 pm Tuesday, and wraps its final game before Christmas break at Sprague with a start time slated for 6:45 on Friday, Dec. 21.
