Fire’s aftermath overwhelming

Jessie Godsil, with a burned arm that she has to bandage daily, is pictured with her four-year-old son, Kiva, who alerted her to the fire that burned their house Jan. 18. She and Kiva were the only ones home. He was unharmed.

Jessie Godsil, her burned and swollen right arm bandaged from the fingers to above the elbow, chased after her four-year-old, Kiva, in the foyer of the motel they were staying in.
