HOOD RIVER — The Hood River Valley High (HRVHS) Eagles snapped a three-game Northwest Oregon Conference Class 5A volleyball losing streak with a 3-0 road win Sept. 18 over the Milwaukie High Mustangs (0-5 NWOC, 1-6 overall). 

The Eagles (2-3 NWOC, 4-7 overall) then competed in a tournament Sept. 20 at Westview High School in Portland and they lost three consecutive non-league matches. The Eagles lost their first match 2-0 to the Class 6A Westview High Wildcats (2-1 Metro League, 7-6 overall). The Eagles followed with a 2-1 loss to the 6A Century High Jaguars (1-2 Pacific Conference, 3-6, overall). They concluded the Saturday tourney with a 2-1 loss to the Putnam High Kingsmen (3-2 NWOC, 5-8 overall).
