Wasco Electric employee Robert Bute attaches a Christmas wreath to a light pole in front of the Granada Theater Tuesday morning as the city’s holiday decorations go into place in the downtown area. Bute was working with fellow employee Keith Fales to attach and light the wreaths so they are ready for tonight’s Starlight Parade, which starts at 6 p.m. and loops through the downtown business district. After the parade, there will be a Christmas tree lighting event at The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce office at 404 W. Second Street.
