CASCADE LOCKS — Turn back the clock at the Gorge Pavilion on Oct. 18 for a radiant night of rhythm and dance. The Jazz Collective Big Band will present “Saturday Night Fever,” featuring an 18-piece ensemble, transporting audiences to an era where infectious grooves and sophisticated arrangements made every Saturday night a celebration.
HOOD RIVER — The Ruins will host two jazz bands in one evening on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m.: the Jazz Collective Big Band from Hood River and Portland’s acclaimed NoPo Big Band, for “a spectacular night of swing under the stars.”
THE GORGE — The CGOA Jazz Collective Big Band will Swing into Spring, with two performances on May 23 and May 25. Join the band for an exhilarating journey through the heart of big band jazz, with a repertoire that spans timeless classics and contemporary works, brought to life with the band’s signature energy and passion.
HOOD RIVER — A Valentine’s Day jazz dance is set for Feb. 14, 7 p.m. at The Ruins, 13 Railroad Street. The Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association (CGOA) Jazz Collective, directed by Michael Paul, invites couples and music lovers to step back in time for a romantic evening of big band swing.
CASCADE LOCKS — The Jazz Collective Big Band will deliver a tribute to the pioneers of American jazz with “Bootleg Beats & All That Jazz” on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Gorge Pavilion, 395 SW Portage Road, Cascade Locks.
The Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association (CGOA) Jazz Collective Big Band will be performing hits from Count Basie this Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m., at the Wy’East Middle School Performing Arts Center in Hood River.
