To the editor:
I am a veteran from 1969 to 1971 and have been getting health care from the Portland VA medical center and The Dalles Community Based Outpatient Clinic for many years. They have given me all the care that was possible; helped me deal with pain and medicines.
When surgery was an option, well, the list was forever long. I didn’t think it would ever become available. The medical center said I was eligible for a Veterans’ Choice Card, which can get me outside care.
TriWest teams with Veterans’ Affairs. They helped me find a civilian surgeon and hospital. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Durkan and staff at Providence hospital in Hood River took very special care. I’m impressed how well I was cared for. Never, ever, have I been so well cared for.
I can say honestly that they are a top Five Stars rated team. Keep up your good work and good name going ever onward. Many thanks and God bless you all!
