Harris for new vision

I would like to endorse Susan Harris for mayor. Susan will bring a new perspective and vision that our community needs.

I have been in the floral and gift business for 40 years. I have watched many changes in this town, some are good and some not so good.

We must as a community be fair to everybody. For example, when the veterans group asked for funding to assist with veterans’ services and programs, the mayor choose to fund a concert series with taxpayer monies.

He said the budget for the years had already been approved and it was too late. That’s strange because the council has amended the budget many times in the past several years for a cause they supported.

By the way, the concert series lost money. Councilor Russ Brown was right, probably not an appropriate use of taxpayer dollars!

We need transparency with our mayor and city council positions.

As a community, we need to be encouraging and welcome all entrepreneurs. Susan Harris has a vision and an investment in this community; she has also saved 16 jobs and recently purchased a downtown building.She has a strong financial background. Throughout her career, she has made investments in commercial real estate in multiple cities.

Please look deep into your heart and think about how much we care for our city. We need to foster a community for everyone without intimidation and the hidden agendas.

Vote Susan Harris for mayor!
