Gov. Kate Brown ordered all flags at Oregon public institutions to be flown at half-staff on Aug. 2 in honor of the Cal-Ore Life Flight patient and crew members who lost their lives while on a transport mission in Humboldt County, Calif., on Friday, July 29. Flags were lowered from sunrise to sunset on Aug. 3.

Cal-Ore Life Flight is an important partner for the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division’s Emergency Medical Services and Hospital Preparedness programs. Cal-Ore Life Flight offers 24/7 Advanced Life Support transport throughout Oregon, California, and other Western states, and supports OHA during emergency preparedness activities and exercises.
