THE DALLES — The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce invites community members to attend the upcoming Wasco County Candidates Forum, taking place on Tuesday, April 28, at the Mid-Columbia Senior Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 6 p.m.
“This forum provides an opportunity for voters to hear directly from candidates appearing on the 2026 Primary Election ballot, helping community members make informed decisions ahead of Election Day,” said a The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce press release.
The forum will feature candidates running for a variety of local, state, and federal offices, including:
• Wasco County Commissioner Position 1
• Wasco County Commissioner Position 3
• U.S. Senator
• U.S. Representative, 2nd District
• State Senator, 26th District
• State Representative, 52nd District
• State Representative, 57th District
The event will be moderated by Rodger Nichols and will follow a structured, nonpartisan format designed to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all participating candidates. Community-submitted questions will be asked by the moderator, with each candidate given equal time to respond. Community members are encouraged to submit questions in advance by visiting TheDallesChamber.com.
