Volunteer opportunities presented at CGWAN meeting

THE GORGE — Columbia Gorge Women’s Action Network (CGWAN) invited local organizations to present their volunteer opportunities at their Jan. 14 general meeting held at the Ruins in Hood River.

After presentations by Amanda Kitchings and Sasha Bentley, who shared their experiences running for office, the 120 in attendance had the chance to visit the organizations’ tables to talk with the representatives about the group’s mission, the focus of their work and how best to make a difference volunteering with them.
