Venue 301 at 301 Oak Street is putting on an event it calls “Craft Your Wedding” for marriage-minded folks, May 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Craft Your Wedding” is a DIY, or do-it-yourself, event featuring instructors from Portland and the Gorge. Participants will learn how to make beautiful and creative items for their wedding, according to a press release from Venue 301, formerly butler Bank Building/Butler Bank Social Club.
Projects will include fresh flower garlands taught by Lucy’s Informal Flowers, signature cocktails by Perfect Pour Bartenders, photo booth styling by Fizzy Party, seed bomb and seed paper favors by Pulp & Deckle, and faux flower crowns by Bon Ton Chic. Also planned are demonstrations and hands-on crafting at each station, and participants will be sent home with printed instructions and supply lists. Boda’s Kitchen will provide lunch and hors d’oeuvres, and at 4 p.m., Perfect Pour will open up a cash bar. Live music will be provided by local talent. From 4 to 6 p.m., Venue 301’s doors will open up to local vendors for an opportunity to mingle and network.
