PARKDALE — Mt. Hood Town Hall kicks off its annual Fall Fundraiser with a special performance of “Heroines” by Balladir on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 7-8:30 p.m. This free event will feature music, storytelling, and theater led by artist and educator Travis Puntarelli, bringing to life some of the lesser-known women of world mythology.
The performance is the first in a series of fall events designed to highlight the many ways the hall serves as the heart of the Upper Valley community, said a press release. Alongside workshops, concerts, and family-friendly activities, the fundraiser asks residents to remember to Love Where You Live by making a donation to help maintain this historic building and support its many community programs.
“Mt. Hood Town Hall is truly community-built and community-powered,” said board member Jordan Kim. “These events are a celebration of what makes this place special, and an invitation for everyone to join us in keeping it thriving for years to come.”
Additional fundraiser events include an Herbal Wellness Workshop and Paint with Josh (Sept. 28) and will conclude with a multicultural dance party featuring the award-winning local band Nueva Tradición on Oct. 18. All events are free to attend, with donations encouraged. Contributions can also be made anytime at mthoodtownhall.org.
