 Jim and Kathy Stutters are the Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 2025 Hearts of Gold honorees. The lifelong residents of Cascade Locks are The Next Door Inc.’s longest-serving foster parents, opening their home to more than 50 foster children since 2012. “The Stutters are true unsung heroes, never seeking recognition for their work,” said a press release. “The Next Door is thrilled to see them receive the Providence Hearts of Gold award, recognizing the extraordinary love and support they have and continue to provide to local youth.” Full report online at columbiagorgenews.com.
