A hotel has been proposed for the old Hood River News property. A public review is slated for Dec. 1. 

HOOD RIVER — Hood River Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the proposed Marriott Hotel site plan on Monday, Dec. 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at city hall.

Applicant Line 29 Architecture, on behalf of owner Eagle Newspapers, seeks approval of a plan to develop a 135-room hotel with a restaurant, meeting center, and parking garage at the old Hood River News site, 419 State St. According to the notice of public hearing, the planning commission will evaluate the request based on procedures outlined in the municipal code, including zoning, landscaping, and transportation access management.
