Powerdale Road closed this week

Hood River County Public Works Department will be closing access to the Powerdale Corridor parking lot just off Highway 35 next week beginning Nov. 1 to allow several hundred feet of pipe removed from the site. To ensure a safe working area, the county will close the area to the public at approximately 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1 until 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6.

Riverside, Inc., a Parma-Idaho company, was issued a $25,000 contract to remove 750 feet of welded pipe and fill in the resulting trough, according to Mikel Diwan, County Public Works Director.
