Hood River Police, Feb. 2 - 8
These charges which resulted in arrests: Criminal mischief (two), DUII (three), drug law (two), theft (four), warrant (three).
Notable incidents
Four theft reports. Three incidents of shoplifting at Walmart and a cellphone stolen from a shopping cart at Walmart.
Three warrant arrests. In one, officers responded to a theft in progress call at Walmart. They lodged the suspect on a charge of theft and a fail to appear warrant.
Two criminal mischief arrests. Officers arrested and lodged a houseless person at NORCOR for a Multnomah County warrant. The person was also charged with criminal mischief, after officers determined they were the primary suspect in two separate vandalisms days prior.
During a traffic stop, officers learned the license plates on the vehicle were reported stolen out of Portland. The Spokane, Washington, driver admitted the theft. The plates were seized and the report forwarded to Portland police for follow-up.
Officers detained, handcuffed, and trespassed a houseless person from a store.
Three DUII arrests. In one, a 19-year-old driver was detained for DUII, and marjiuana found in their vehicle.
An officer responded to reported vandalism at Oak Street Apartments Feb. 2.

The Dalles Police, Feb. 7 - 13
These charges resulted in arrests: specific charge not logged (one), driving while suspended (one), DUII (one), possession of controlled substance (two), trespass (two), warrant (seven).
Notable incidents
A burglary. A garage lock was broken, tools and items stolen, a Laughlin Street resident reported Feb. 7.
Five theft reports. Wallet and $4,000 cash stolen from car on 12th Street, old unspecified theft, tip jar from Federal Street. Someone broke into a work van on 13th and took tools worth about $3,000. And a reported party reported a stolen bicycle, and egged vehicles, on 12th Feb. 8.
Two fraud reports. In one instance, $10,000 was lost.
Ten animal calls. Dogs barking, roaming, standing in the middle of the street, etc.
A person was arrested during an incident where they threw a rock at the reporting party’s vehicle on Sixth Street.
Two merchants on Sixth Street were fined $250 for selling honey and oranges, respectively, without a vendor’s license on Feb. 9.
Hit-and-run report.
A mental health call.
One driver was cited for no insurance after a vehicle crash on Seventh.

A burglary on Sixth, reported Feb. 10. Another, in Pioneer Street, was reported Feb. 11.
A 911 call resulted in a search and rescue on Feb. 10, at about 2 p.m.

A drug incident on E. Seventh was reported Feb. 11.
Alleged gunshot on Sandlin Road reported Feb. 12.
Oregon State Police, Feb. 7 - 13
These charges resulted in arrests: DUII (four), reckless driving (one), recklessly endangering another (one), warrant (one).
Notable incidents
Four DUII arrests. In one, a trooper spotted a freshly-damaged vehicle stopped in the lane at Webber and 6th on Feb. 9. The trooper was transporting a person in custody; Wasco County deputies found the vehicle driving off with a flat tire, and stopped it. The trooper returned and the driver was arrested a DUII - controlled substance charge. A search warrant was granted for samples of their blood. Separately, a blue Subaru Outback drove west down the eastbound lanes of I-84, near Cascade Locks. A trooper stopped it at milepost 58 eastbound, and arrested the 29-year-old driver on three charges.
Three non-injury crashes. On Feb. 10, a semi-truck and trailer struck a bullard in the Pilot Travel Center lot in Biggs, backed up and hit an empty pickup. The driver was cited. Separately, while an eastbound Subaru was passing a commercial truck on I-84 Feb. 10, the commercial truck changed lanes and swiped it, doing extensive damage to the entire right side. The commercial did not stop, and could not be located. Thirdly, a Toyota Tundra left the fast lane of I-84 and swiped guardrail near milepost 96 eastbound on Feb. 12.
After a Subaru left its lane on Highway 35 for unknown reasons, colliding with a rock wall, the driver was found deceased by witnesses in the afternoon of Feb. 12. The crash happened near milepost 74 northbound. OSP responded and notified next of kin about the death of the 64-year-old Hood River resident.
