THE DALLES — The original The Dalles County Courthouse is running a series of talks every Saturday in February about the multi-cultural, and geographically challenging history of the region. The talks begin at 1:30 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom, 410 W. Second Place.

Feb. 1 is, “Fire Lookouts: Personal Reflections, History, and Preservation;” Feb. 8 is “The China Crew at the Seufert Brothers Cannery;” Feb. 15 is “Joseph Brown, Jewish Merchant: Buried Outside the Fence.”
