(The Center Square) – Cincinnati-based grocery store giant Kroger recently received a $3 million federal taxpayer-funded grant critics say will help the company’s bottom line more than anything else.

The money is part of the Trump administration’s “Make America Healthy Again” program from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The idea is to update dietary guidelines and create plans for people to be healthier, HHS spokeswoman Grace Davis Jamison told The Center Square.
