25 thoughts and questions I had while watching ‘House of the Dragon’ S3 E4

It's the calm before the storm in King's Landing. 

Raeneyra is still struggling to settle into her new job as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms and has become paranoid about everything. As she should. 

She has no council, and Ormund Hightower, her arch nemesis aside from her brothers, is out to get her to reclaim the Iron Throne. 

In this episode, we see more of what Ormund is capable of and insight into Daeron's psyche. If you’ve read George R. R. Martin’s “Fire and Blood,” then you know what happens next. However, the show has been giving the story its own spin. 

Here are 25 thoughts and questions Talker came up with while watching “House of the Dragon” season three, episode four.

1. Ormund (Alicent’s cousin), taking over Tumbleton, a town faithful to Rhaenyra, is the ultimate chess piece. He knows she won't burn it down as he inches closer to her. 

2. Rhaenyra is trying to validate herself in Alicent’s eyes, and it seems she still values her ex-bestie’s advice. I actually miss when they were friends. 

3. Ah, so, Ormund is sensitive to "strong odors”? What kind of "strong odors," huh? 

4. Corlys! He's such an amazing character. Sending Alyn of Hull to speak to Rhaenyra is a wise choice. He needs the experience if he's going to inherit Driftmark one day. 

5. Oh, man. Aegon found Sunfyre dead in the woods. But is he really dead, though? 

6. Unpopular opinion, but Larys and Aegon need a spin-off – "Adventure Time: Larys and Aegon edition"

7. God, I really can't stand "Ser" Criston Cole. 

8. Why does Harrenhal still matter? It's basically in shambles, and it's a cursed place. 

9. Is Alys Rivers wearing Ser Simon Strong's fabulous garbs? RIP Simon Strong! *crying* 

10. Ha, Gwayne (Alicent’s brother) found out Rhaenyra had taken over King's Landing! That’s our girl. 

11. Is Alys holding Aemond as her prisoner? 

12. They need to find rat catchers ASAP! They're all over the Red Keep. 

13. This dragonseed Ulf is going to mess things up for Rhaenyra (just as he did in the book Fire and Blood). The same goes for Hugh the Hammer. 

14. Ok, Lady Jeyne Arryn is fabulous, look at her white cloak with the Arryn sigil! 

15. Oh, my God, Daemon and Caraxes found Rhaena and Sheepstealer! 

16. I feel for Rhaena; she's been ignored her whole life, and Daemon should have been a better father to her. 🙁

17. I guess Daemon's way of protecting her is by letting her ride into the sunset and not ratting her out to his Queen wife, who's still mourning her son and heir, Jace. 

18. Is Ulf really asking Rhaenyra to pardon his tavern buddies for their crimes? 

19. Aegon has a pooper-scooper job – a job fit for this king. 

20. Does Rhaenyra really believe that burnt, severed head Daemon brought her was actually Sheepstealer's rider who unintentionally killed Jace? I don't think so....

21. Is Helaena pregnant? Who's the baby's daddy? Is it Aemond's?

22. Tessarion is a gorgeous dragon and definitely does not like Ormund, I mean, who does? 

23. Why is Ormund corrupting sweet Daeron? No! 

24. Poor Daeron, his innocence is completely gone after killing that man just because his uncle said so.  

25. Ok, Ormund is the absolute worst. "Now, we begin." Say, what? Rhaenyra, watch your back, girl!
