HOOD RIVER — Hood River County School District (HRCSD) School Board Director Barb Hosford, position 2, submitted a letter of resignation to the Hood River County School District Oct. 7 due to health issues.
“I want to give HRCSD a chance for a fair and active board position,” said Hosford. “I do not feel I can do that right now. I need to reduce my stress level and control outside influences.”
Hosford’s four-year term expires on June 30, 2025. The HRCSD board aims to select a replacement for position 2 at an upcoming public school board meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 23. A map of the position 2 boundary area can be found at webmap.hoodrivercounty.gov.
Applications for this position are posted on the district website, hoodriver.k12.or.us, and are due by 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. To inquire about this position or have other related questions, contact School Board’s Administrative Assistant Meghan West at 541-387-5013 or meghan.west@hoodriver.k12.or.us.
