Last week’s history mystery was a photo taken in 1899 by Arthur Seufert, according to its Discovery Center Museum record. Mary Davis, Curt Leslie, Steve Brown, and Cathy Ralph all recognized the east end of The Dalles, so we know the photographer was standing somewhere near Brewery Grade, where the Oregon Trail wagons emptied into The Dalles. Davis noted the buildings of the old Columbia Brewery on the left, and the Moody Wool Warehouse on the right (later a biscuit mill, now Sunshine Mill Winery.)  Bales of wool are showing.
