Next to water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world. The Good Medicine Tea Lounge wants to bring that world to the Gorge. They have located organic, bio-dynamic, sustainable, or grower direct teas from all flavor categories and all tea growing regions. Tea drinkers will sample the entire inventory of classic teas, flavored teas, blends, and tisanes. The entire menu will also be available for bulk purchases, and select teas will be pre-packaged. The Good Medicine Tea Lounge will stock a variety of pots, mugs, and infusers.
The tea lounge is located in a renovated historic craftsman home known as the Laughing Mountain Building. This commercial space, formerly known as the Klahre House, is home to the offices of several small businesses including Good Medicine Enterprises, which sources the teas.
The Good Medicine Tea Lounge is located in the Heights Business District at 1029 May Street, on the corner of May and 11th streets in Hood River, directly across from the Providence Hospital parking structure. Planned hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning Monday, Aug. 11.
