Central Gorge Master Gardener training classes began on Feb. 12 with an orientation to the program followed by a presentation by local peony expert and grower Lore Sampson of Rarity Gardens in Mt. Hood. Ninety-six Central Gorge Master Gardeners are being trained to teach sustainable gardening practices to local home gardeners. The Central Gorge Master Gardener program is a division of OSU Hood River County Extension Service. For more information, visit centralgorgemga.org.   Contributed photo
