BINGEN — Let’s face it. We live in, and travel to, the Gorge for one reason: To enjoy the great outdoors. Whether it’s kite boarding, wind surfing, skiing, biking, kayaking, hiking or just plain relaxing, we want to be outside.
And when we can’t be outside, Glen Pritchard and his crew at Studio CBC have mastered the art of bringing the outdoors inside with their design and installation of unique window and door systems. In fact, the Bingen based company recently was awarded a prestigious first place award in a national design contest for their large folding door system installed at the Society Hotel Spa.
The “project of the year” award was sponsored by LaCantina Doors and Studio CBC, along with Portland based architectural firm Waechter Architecture, local Hood River builder Orange Design Industries, and Jonathan Cohen, owner of Society Hotel and Spa. The project beat out several others for the top prize.

“It’s rewarding and beneficial to be part of helping local businesses renew their windows and doors and help become energy efficient in the process,” Pritchard said.
