BINGEN / WHITE SALMON — The cities of Bingen and White Salmon have jointly been selected as a Rural Opportunity, Advancement, and Resilience (ROAR) pilot community by the Washington State Rural Development Council to receive comprehensive, coordinated, and sustained assistance to complete infrastructure and community development projects.

The ROAR program’s focus is to create a broad and sustained tech team staffed by one of their project managers. This will allow the two cities, which are governed separately, to keep people communicating and efforts moving forward, identify potential sources of funding, and accelerate project completion, according to a press release. The Partners for Rural Washington grant is non-profit, and provides these services at no costs to the cities.
