‘Big River’ Gathering with Columbia Riverkeeper

“Big River,” Moskowitz’ newest book, will be available for purchase, alongside alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; snacks and dessert free. Donations for Columbia Riverkeeper welcome and encouraged.

The gathering was intentionally scheduled two weeks after the last election ballot will be cast, one week prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. “During the respite of this moment, we gather to refresh our focus on some of the sweeter things in life; for example, the river and all life connected to it,” read a press release. “We recognize that this election season has been difficult, like no other ... Those who remember 2000 might recall that we did not have a clear outcome until early December. So we invite you to partake in this unique opportunity to join with friends, colleagues, neighbors, and fellow activists as we redirect our energies into supporting each other and the health of this place — the Columbia River watershed — no matter where things stand.”
