Gordon Ramsay has a gravyboatload of shows running on Fox, so of course the megacelebrity chef was a featured part of the network’s Upfronts presentation on Monday (May 11) night.
So when we got the chance to speak to the expert on all things food, we simply had to ask for his best pieces of advice.
Talking to TV Insider on the red carpet of the event, Ramsay revealed that the one thing he most wants viewers to take away from any of his shows is, “Don’t accept laziness. And do not eat reheated food. And then for me, I think the most important thing is never, ever be afraid to complain. It keeps chefs like me on our toes.”
Ramsay also revealed the real secret to cooking his signature beef wellington dish correctly, saying it’s a matter of, “First of all, great beef; secondly, an amazing duxelle; and then, once you sear it, I think, just a light sear; but most importantly … wrapping that in a luxury puff pastry.”
The multi-Michelin star winner was on hand during the event to promote the fall schedule, which includes the return of Hell’s Kitchen for its whopping 25th season, airing on Thursdays for the network. (The series was also renewed for Season 26.)
Several of his other shows are slated for a midseason premiere on the network, including Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service Season 2, MasterChef Season 16, and Next Level Chef Season 6.
