Both women posted about how hard it was to have to be apart from their kids on the special day. Keyla posted a tribute to Hannah on her Instagram Story, writing, “Happy Mother’s Day to my girl @hannahharper the sweetest soul. I love you Ma Ma! We may be working right now away from our boys but it’ll all be worth it after tomorrow. We know how we rocking!!! Let’s enjoy it.”
Over on Facebook, Harper celebrated the one-year anniversary of the release of her song “String Cheese,” which she wrote after the birth of her third child and shared with the world on Mother’s Day 2025.
“Tonight, I’m extra emotional being away from my boys,” Hannah admitted. “I’ll be keeping the tissues close and counting down the hours until I can wrap my babies up in my arms again.”
She also reflected on the song’s popularity, which skyrocketed after Hannah sang it during her American Idol audition. “I still can’t fully process how much this song has changed my life,” Hannah continued. “But more than charts, streams, or opportunities… what means the most to me are the messages from mothers all over the world who felt seen by it. Women who were tired, stretched thin, emotional, overwhelmed, loving their babies with everything they had while wondering if anyone noticed the weight they carried. Thank you for hearing my heart and allowing this song to hold a little piece of yours too.”
Keyla, Hannah, and Jordan McCullough are the remaining artists competing in the American Idol finale. Viewers will vote for their favorite during the May 11 episode, and the singer with the most votes will be named the winner at the end of the night.
