Conan O’Brien will return to host the Oscars in 2027 on ABC. The network announced his return during the Disney upfront presentation on May 12 in New York City. The date for the 99th Academy Awards was announced in tandem with O’Brien’s return.
Here’s everything we know about the 2027 Oscars.
The 2027 Oscars will air live on March 14, 2027, starting at 7/6c on ABC.
O’Brien will return as the Oscars host for the March 2027 ceremony. This will be his third consecutive year in the role.
Additionally, Emmy Award-winning live television event producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan return as the show’s executive producers for the fourth consecutive year, Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Lynette Howell Taylor announced today. Jeff Ross and Mike Sweeney will return as producers for a third time, and Sweeney will also serve as a writer.
“We are thrilled to be working again with Conan, Raj, Katy, Jeff and Mike for the 99th Oscars,” said Kramer and Howell Taylor. “They are an incredible team and have produced such captivating, entertaining and heartfelt shows over the last two years. The 99th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2027, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC, streamed live on Hulu, and aired in more than 200 territories worldwide.
