Music’s biggest night is returning to ABC. The 2027 Grammy Awards has set its premiere date, and the network has also announced when the nominees will be announced.
The award show is airing for the first time on ABC since 1972. It has aired on CBS for years, but it is now going back to its roots.
“The Grammys are all about celebrating the music that moves the world, and this moment is built on exactly that,” Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Grammys, said in a press release. “This is an exciting time for us as an organization — a new home and a bold new chapter for the Grammy Awards. We’re just getting started, and the best is yet to come.”
This year’s Grammy eligibility period is August 31, 2025, to August 28, 2026, meaning songs and albums released in that time period will be able to be nominated for an award at the ceremony.
